DFF Reach legal

Data Rights, Deletion & Complaints

Last updated: 20 September 2026

This page provides the practical route for privacy requests, provider disconnection, account deletion and complaints. Rights depend on the person's location, relationship with DFF Reach and the law that applies.

How to make a request

  • Use the available Settings data controls or email from the address connected to the Reach account.
  • DFF Reach may verify identity but will not ask for your password, provider token or one-time authentication code.
  • Deleting Reach data does not automatically delete content already published on a third-party provider.
  • A legal, security, billing, fraud or dispute hold can delay deletion of the relevant records.

1. Requests you can make

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may ask DFF Reach to take one or more of the following actions.

  • Confirm whether personal information is processed and provide access to eligible information.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete account information.
  • Provide portable information in an available structured format.
  • Delete eligible account or workspace information.
  • Restrict or object to particular processing.
  • Withdraw consent for an optional activity.
  • Stop direct marketing.
  • Review a response to an earlier privacy request or complaint.

2. How to submit a request

Use the data controls available in Settings where the required action is provided. Otherwise email support@directfoodfinder.com from the address associated with the account and use the subject “DFF Reach data request”.

Include the request type, the Reach account or brand concerned, your country of residence and enough information to locate the relevant records. Do not include a password, payment credential, one-time code or raw social-provider token.

3. Identity and authority verification

DFF Reach must avoid disclosing or deleting data for the wrong person. We may therefore ask for reasonable evidence that the requester controls the relevant account or is authorised to act for an organisation or another person.

An authorised agent may make a request where local law permits it, but DFF Reach may require proof of the agent's authority and may verify the request directly with the person concerned.

4. Account and workspace deletion

Account deletion removes or anonymises eligible DFF Reach records through the controlled deletion process. It may be blocked or delayed where ownership must first be transferred, an active subscription must be handled, another workspace depends on the account, or relevant records are subject to a lawful hold.

Disconnect provider accounts before or during closure where possible. DFF Reach will clear active reusable provider authority from the Reach connection, but the provider may retain its own account, audit and published-content records.

  • Deleting DFF Reach does not delete a Facebook Page, Instagram profile, TikTok account, Threads account or other provider account.
  • Content already published to a provider must normally be deleted through that provider.
  • Protected backups may retain isolated copies until the normal backup cycle completes.
  • Anonymised aggregate statistics may remain where they no longer identify a person.

5. Timing and outcomes

DFF Reach will respond within the period required by the law that applies after receiving enough information to verify and understand the request. Complex, repeated or unusually broad requests may take longer where law allows, and the requester will be told when an extension applies.

A request may be limited or refused where an exemption applies, another person's rights would be harmed, the requester cannot be verified, or the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive under applicable law. DFF Reach will explain the available reason and review route.

6. Regional rights

This is a global request route. The exact rights and terminology vary. Residents of the United Kingdom, European Economic Area and Switzerland may have access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and complaint rights where their respective laws apply.

Residents of California and certain other United States states may have rights to know, correct, delete, obtain a copy, opt out of certain sales, sharing or targeted advertising, and appeal a refusal where the relevant law applies. DFF Reach does not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Residents of Canada, Brazil, Australia and other jurisdictions may have additional access, correction, complaint, deletion or consent rights under applicable local law. Mandatory local rights are not removed by this page.

7. Privacy complaints

Send a privacy complaint to support@directfoodfinder.com with the subject “DFF Reach privacy complaint”. Explain what happened, the account or feature involved, the outcome requested and any earlier support reference.

DFF Reach will acknowledge and investigate a complaint under the process required by applicable law. You may also complain to the data-protection or privacy authority competent for your location. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office.

8. Other service complaints

A billing, content, publication, accessibility, copyright, security or provider-connection complaint should use the dedicated policy or support subject where available. DFF Reach may route a request internally so the correct team can handle it without requiring the user to start again.
